Randy Moss traded to the Vikings

Today the New England Patriots made a big move. They traded Randy Moss back to the Minnesota Vikings, the place where he started his career in the NFL back in 1998The Patriots would be receiving a 2011 third-round draft pick in exchange for the seven-time Pro Bowl wide receiver. Moss wanted a new deal because he’s in his final year of his contract but he wouldn’t get one from the trade with the Vikings. This is Moss’s thirteenth season in the NFL, he’s 33 years old and he has played for three different teams so far. He has played 190 games, had 935 receptions with his longest being 82 yards, he has ran 14.604 with 151 touchdowns and 12 fumbles. His current stats for the season with the Patriots are nine receptions, 139 yards and three touchdowns. This trade is going to help Randy Moss because he’s going to play more motivated and a motivated Randy Moss is really good Moss. It would also help the Vikings because they’re in need of a big time wide receiver since Sidney Rice went down with a hip injury. We should also see a different Brent Favre out there on the field now because his passing game would definitely improve because he has a better wide receiver now and when Rice comes back it going to be double the trouble for the other teams in the league. New England on the other hand has lost a very versatile player and would now be relying on Wes Welker and their other young wide receivers to set up and play big. I think that the Patriots are looking to build a young talented team around Tom Brady and this move enhances them for next season because they’re going to get two picks in every season round in the 2011 draft. I can’t wait to see how Randy Moss plays with Vikings because I think we’re going to see a whole new Randy. Here are a few highlights of Randy Moss so that you the readers can see what he’s capable of.
